As per previous announcement, the online services of the PlayStation®3-exclusive title "Gran Turismo 5" will come to an end as of 31 May, 2014. We would like to thank all our fans for their support and for having enjoyed online racing during these three and a half years since the beginning of the services in 2010.

To express our appreciation to fans, Gran Turismo 5 will host a special final online event starting on 1 May, 2014, in which we will offer 5 cars that can be transferred to Gran Turismo 6 just by participating in the event. Those selected cars will be particularly useful in the earliest stages of Gran Turismo 6, and we sincerely hope that many will take this opportunity to continue enjoying online racing in the next chapter.

GT6 is a PlayStation® 3 exclusive title just like GT5, and just like GT5 it continues to evolve through free updates that have been released since its first publishing at the end of 2013, introducing new cars and tracks as well as updating physics, improving user interfaces and adding extra features like the Data Logger.

From 07:00 BST, 3 June 2014 to 04:00 BST, 30 June 2014, if "Gran Turismo 6" is launched on a PlayStation®3 while signed in with a SEN Account used to register a time in the Online Rankings of any GT5 Online Event Finale’s mentioned above, the following 5 cars will be awarded automatically in GT6:
