The Nissan PlayStation 2013 GT Academy winner, Miguel Faisca is proving that dreams of aspiring racing drivers can become a reality.
Miguel beat more than 900,000 people from across Europe, who entered the competition to be the best Gran Turismo®6 player in 2013.Outshining fierce competition from more than 42 European gamers who descended upon Silverstone, putting skills learned playing Gran Turismo to test behind the wheel of Nissan racing cars – Miguel won a series of challenges that tested driving ability, fitness, attitude, psychological strength and potential.
Since being crowned the 2013 winner, he completed an intensive Driver Development Programme, developing the skills needed to compete with the best international drivers out on the track. In January 2014, Miguel stormed to SP2 class victory at the Dubai 24 Hours with fellow 2013 GT Academy winners in their first international race.
A fan of driving from an early age, Miguel was studying Mechanical Engineering when he entered the Nissan PlayStation Gran Turismo competition.
