Terms and Conditions – Specific Rules for “TOYOTA GR Supra GT Cup” Competition – EMEA Region

TOYOTA Competition and Entry Requirements

  1. The “TOYOTA GR Supra GT Cup” competition (“TOYOTA Competition”) is open to persons who meet the Minimum Age Requirement (as defined below) and who are residents of Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lebanon, Kuwait, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UAE and the UK (“Entrant Countries”) except employees, agents, contractors or consultants of the Promoter (as defined below) and their immediate families, the Promoter's associated companies and anyone else professionally connected with the TOYOTA Competition (“Entrants”).
  2. The minimum age requirement is 18 years for those Entrants who are residents of Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lebanon, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK and 21 years or older for those residents of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE (the “Minimum Age Requirement”).
  3. These Terms (as defined below) apply to those Entrants who are resident of the Entrant Countries, other than France.
  4. The TOYOTA Competition opens for entries on 27 April 2019 at 16.00 GMT ("Opening Date") and last entries must be made before 07 September 2019 at 23.59 GMT ("Closing Date"). The period from the Opening Date to and including the Closing Date shall be referred to as the “TOYOTA Competition Period”.
  5. In order to enter the TOYOTA Competition, Entrants must complete the GT Sport Mode registration form which shall be presented to Entrants who select the ‘Sport’ mode option within the Game during the TOYOTA Competition Period. Entrants must then select to play in the “TOYOTA GR Supra GT Cup 2019” Online Series set of races (each an “Entry”).
  6. The TOYOTA Competition is free to enter and no purchase of any kind is necessary but Entrants must own or have access to a PlayStation®4 and a copy of Gran Turismo™ Sport for PlayStation®4 (“Game”). Entrants must also be active PlayStation®Plus members during the TOYOTA Competition Period. By entering the TOYOTA Competition, Entrants accept and will be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms”) as well as the General Rules (click here).
  7. Registration for PlayStation™Network (“PSN”) is subject to acceptance of the PSN Terms of Service and User Agreement and PSN Privacy Policy. (http://eu.playstation.com/legal/).
  8. Entrant personal data (including PSN Online ID and Entrant email address) will be shared with TOYOTA Motor Corporation (Japan) based in Japan in order that the EMEA Finalists and TOYOTA Winners can be contacted directly by TOYOTA. All personal data is controlled and processed by TOYOTA in accordance with the TOYOTA Privacy Policy (https://toyotagazooracing.com/privacy-policy/).
  9. Each Entrant may only submit one (1) entry for the TOYOTA Competition. For the avoidance of doubt, the FIA Nations Cup and FIA Manufacturer Series are different tournaments to the TOYOTA Competition. All competitions listed under the ‘Sport’ mode of the Game, shall involve online races at different times.
  10. It is prohibited for Entrant(s) to create duplicate accounts in order to compete or to increase their chances of qualifying or progressing through the TOYOTA Competition. In such event, the Promoter reserves its right, at its sole discretion to disqualify such Entrant(s).
  11. Prizes (are defined below) must be taken as stated and may not be deferred. There will be no cash alternatives; however, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any Prize with a prize of a similar value.
  12. The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any problem which may result in any TOYOTA Competition entry or other correspondence being lost or not being properly registered.
  13. PlayStation®Plus subscription only available for accounts for PlayStation™Network with access to PlayStation™Store and high-speed internet. PSN, PS Store and PS Plus subject to terms of use and country and language restrictions; PS Plus content and services vary by subscriber age. Users must be 7 years or older and users under 18 require parental consent, except that users in Germany must be 18 years or older. Service availability is not guaranteed. Online features of specific games may be withdrawn on reasonable notice - eu.playstation.com/gameservers. PS Plus subscription automatically renews at the end of the subscription period at the current PS Store price. Full terms apply: PSN Terms of Service at eu.playstation.com/legal.
  14. In the event of a dispute, the Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
  15. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the TOYOTA Competition or amend these Terms at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion or if circumstances arise outside its control.
  16. If any Prize is found to be ineffective, faulty or damaged upon receipt, the Promoter must be notified in writing within seven (7) days of receipt, otherwise the Prize will be deemed to be accepted as received. This does not affect a Winner’s and/or a Runner-Up’s statutory rights (if any).
  17. Each EMEA Finalist and TOYOTA Winner agrees to take part in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter.
  18. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms or incorrect, illegible, fraudulent or other invalid or improper information has been provided, the Promoter may in its sole discretion refuse to process an entry or fulfill any Prize awarded. If an Entrant fails to comply with these Terms, including but not limited to clauses 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 13, 18 or uses multiple accounts and/or any automated system to enter, they will be excluded from the TOYOTA Competition and their entry will be declared void.
  19. Each EMEA Finalist, TOYOTA Winner and each TOYOTA Runner-Up may be required to pay tax on any Prize won in accordance with their jurisdiction’s tax legislation and will be responsible for any related tax liability.
  20. The Promoter may, at its sole discretion, publish each EMEA Finalist’s, TOYOTA Winner’s and each TOYOTA Runner’s-Up names on the Promoter’s website(s). Such names will be made available on reasonable request to those enclosing a self-addressed envelope marked ‘TOYOTA GR Supra GT Cup’ to the following address: TOYOTA Motor Corporation, 1 Toyota-cho, Toyota City, Aichi, 471-8571, Japan within six (6) weeks of the Closing Date.
  21. The “Promoter” is: TOYOTA Motor Corporation, 1 Toyota-cho, Toyota City, Aichi, 471-8571, Japan.
  22. To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and the contract between each Entrant and the Promoter shall be deemed to have been formed and performed in England.

  23. The TOYOTA Online Series
  24. The TOYOTA Competition begins with the Online Series.
  25. Entrants race using the Toyota ‘GR Supra RZ’ car only. Entrants compete in-Game through an Online Series (detailed below at clause 25) to earn a spot at the TOYOTA Final.
  26. The Online Series consists of thirteen (13) Rounds, as detailed here:

  28. Entrants shall be awarded points based on:
      26.1 their final position in each race; and
      26.2 the average driver rating of the Entrants they race against in each race.
  29. The Final Score is tallied from the Entrant’s best five (5) Rounds, out of thirteen (13) Rounds. There will be only one (1) race entry per Round.
  30. The Final Score determines the position of each Entrant in the “Online Ranking”.
  31. Following the end of the Online Series, ten (10) competitors from the EMEA Region (each an “EMEA Finalist”) shall proceed to the TOYOTA GR Supra GT Cup Final Live Event (the “TOYOTA Final”).
  32. EMEA Finalists will win:
        30.1 an invitation to attend and participate in the TOYOTA Final;
        30.2 return economy class flights, coach tickets or train tickets to the TOYOTA Final (as applicable, in the Promoter’s sole discretion);
        30.3 accommodation for the duration of the TOYOTA Final (choice of accommodation, at the Promoter’s sole discretion);
        30.4 transport to and from the airport, bus terminal or train station (as appropriate) to the accommodation, on the dates of the inbound and outbound flights/buses/trains;
        30.5 return transport from the accommodation to the venue of the relevant TOYOTA Final; and
        30.6 all meals during the TOYOTA Final,
    information relating to travel and accommodation shall be confirmed by Promoter, and/or Polyphony Digital Inc. on behalf of the Promoter, by email following the end of the Online Series (as set out in paragraph 25), (together the “Online Series Prizes”, each an “Online Series Prize”).

  33. The TOYOTA Final
  34. The TOYOTA Final is one (1) Live Event during which the EMEA Finalists shall race to determine the TOYOTA GR Supra GT Cup Final Live Event Winner (the “TOYOTA Cup Winner”).
  35. The TOYOTA Final shall take place at the Tokyo Motor Show on 25-26 October 2019 in Tokyo, Japan.
  36. The rules for the TOYOTA Final will be set out by Polyphony Digital prior to the commencement of the event.
  37. The 10 EMEA Finalists shall, subject to the Country Cap (as defined in clause 35) compete in the TOYOTA Final.
  38. There shall be a maximum of two (2) EMEA Finalists per Entrant Country (the “Country Cap”), up to a maximum of ten (10) EMEA Finalists in total from the EMEA Region. Where an Entrant is ranked third in their Entrant Country, the next highest-ranking Entrant from a different Entrant Country shall advance to the TOYOTA Final (for EMEA). This means that an Entrant ranked 3rd or lower amongst the Entrants from their Entrant Country cannot be an EMEA Finalist even if their score is higher than an Entrant placed in the top 2 of another Entrant Country.
  39. Subject to the Country Cap, in the event that an EMEA Finalist is unable to attend the TOYOTA Final, the Entrant with the next highest Online Ranking (who is not already an EMEA Finalist) may be invited to participate in the TOYOTA Final for the EMEA Region and shall be notified as such by the Promoter.
  40. The “TOYOTA Final Winner” shall be the finalist with the highest score from all applicable Live Event races. The “Runners-Up” shall be the finalists with the second and third highest score from all applicable Live Event races.
  41. The TOYOTA Final Winner shall be notified of their selection after the conclusion of the Live Event and can choose to claim their TOYOTA Cup Prize at that time. The Promoter shall provide information relating to the TOYOTA Final to the TOYOTA Final Winner by email to the email address provided in the GT Sport Mode registration form.
  42. The TOYOTA Final Winner will win a winner’s trophy. Two (2) Runners-Up will win a runner-up trophy each.
