Manufacturers Cup

The Manufacturers Cup is contested by the top-ranked manufacturers from the Online Series, together with our manufacturer partners Toyota, Genesis, and Mazda, for a total of 12 teams.
A driver from each of the three regions (Europe/Middle East/Africa, Americas, and Asia-Oceania) will be selected for each automobile manufacturer to form a 3-man team.

Showdown Race Structure

The Manufacturers Cup will take place on 11 August and will consist of a ‘Qualifying’ race, a ‘Top 6 Qualifier’ and a ‘Grand Final.’

Qualifying

One driver elected from each team will run a 9-minute time trial on the same track and with the same regulations as the Top 6 Qualifier.
The top six drivers will advance to the Top 6 Qualifier, and drivers finishing in 7th to 12th will start in those positions on the grid in the Grand Final.

Top 6 Qualifier Live Broadcast

The top six drivers from the Qualifying will run a single-lap qualifier to determine grid positions 1 to 6 in the Grand Final.
As the result is determined by a single lap, there is no room for error. Drivers’ mental toughness will be tested to the maximum.

Grand Final Live Broadcast

This race will be a 3-man team race with driver changes.
Driver changes will take place during a pit stop while the team changes tyres/and or refuels.
Each driver is required to run a minimum of 6 laps, so keeping an eye on the changing weather conditions and having a flexible pit strategy will be vital.
The result of the Grand Final race will be the final result of the GTWS Showdown 2023 Manufacturers Cup.

Nations Cup

The new team-based Nations Cup will be contested by the top 12 ranked countries in the Online Series across all the Regions.
The top three drivers in the Online Series will be selected for each nation to form a 3-man team.

Showdown Race Structure

The Nations Cup will take place on 12 August and will consist of a ‘Qualifying Time Trial’ race, a ‘Qualifying Race’ and a ‘Grand Final’.

Qualifying Time Trial

The highest-ranked driver from each country in the Online Rankings will run a single-lap qualifier.
The result of this will decide the grid for the Qualifying Race and the order in which drivers pick the car they will use for that race.

Qualifying Race Live Broadcast

The highest-ranked driver from each country in the Online Rankings will race to determine the grid for the Grand Final.
With race details such as the car and track used only being announced on the day, the adaptability of these top drivers will be something to watch out for.

Individual skill alone will not be enough to win – teams will need to work together.
The result of the Grand Final race will be the final result of the GTWS Showdown 2023 Nations Cup.
