Event Overview

On September 22, the second "Gran Turismo World Tour" will take place in Salzburg, Austria.

The venue for the event, the "Red Bull Hangar-7" is an actual aircraft hangar that also serves as museum housing many airplanes and racecars owned by Red Bull. There are 36 players from 12 countries gathering here to battle in a group of exhibition races for the Nations Cup and the Manufacturer Series.

In the Nations Cup, teams of three competitors will battle for the top prize, accumulating points in a series of four races. After three rounds of individual races by each team member, a final race will take place with all three drivers sharing the same car with driver changes.

In the Manufacturer Series, each team will consist of two players, going through qualifier tournaments leading up to a final race. All races will be in an endurance format where time limits and driver changes will take place throughout the race.

This event is a precursor to the Championship Regional Finals, starting from October in Asia, Europe and America. Which teams are the best, who is the fastest driver, and what osrts of drama will unfold on the track? Tune in to what is sure to be many exciting races between the world's best players!

Tournament Structure

Nations Cup (4 Races)
- A group tournament of 36 players with three drivers from each of the 12 countries.
- Races 1, 2, and 3 are single-driver races for each national team. All three drivers on a national team will participate in one of the three races.
- Race 4, the Final Race, is an endurance race involving driver changes with the three-man teams from the same country each sharing the same car.
- The winner will be decided by the most points earned over all races.

Manufacturer Series
- A group tournament of 36 players with 18 manufacturers, with two drivers per manufacturer.
- The top six teams from semi-final groups A and B will proceed to the final.
- In each race, two drivers will share one car in the competition with a mandatory driver change.

Gran Turismo World Tour 2018 - Nürburgring

The very first "Gran Turismo World Tour" took place at the Nürburgring in Germany, during the Nürburgring 24-Hour race in May 2018. The 30 top European competitors from various countries gathered to show their skills in an intense battle on the track, as the fans cheered loudly for their favorite driver.
