Points Calculation Method

The 'Global Manufacturer Ranking' is based on 'Manufacturer Ranking Points' earned across all Rounds.

If two or more Regions have an equal number of points at the end of the Season, the selection will proceed according to the following priority order:

  1) the manufacturer with the highest points per Region;
  2) the manufacturer with the highest number of affiliation contracts registered in the 2019 Series.

World Tour Manufacturers Selection

A total of 12 manufacturers will be selected to participate in a World Tour: in addition to "Toyota" as Official Partner Manufacturer, the highest ranked manufacturers in the "Global Manufacturer Ranking" at the end of each Selection Event will also be selected. (Other Official Partners may be added during the Series.)

The Global Manufacturer Ranking results from the 'Manufacturer Series - Pre-Season' will also be used as a basis for selecting candidates for the 'World Tour 2019 - New York' held on 24-25 August.

Additionally, as outlined in the Championships Overview page, the 'Global Manufacturer Ranking' will also be used when selecting competitors for all subsequent World Tour live events after the 2019 Series - Stage 1.

The player's individual rankings for the Manufacturer Series are calculated by effective points. Once the manufacturers and the Regions for each manufacturer are selected, then individual player selection will take place based on individual rankings.
