1CHAMPIONSHIPS

The following two championships will be hosted:

FIA GT Championship // Nations Cup
The Nations Cup is a championship where countries and locales will compete for victory. The country (or locale) of a player's affiliation will be automatically assigned based on the information registered on the PSN Online ID used to sign in to the game. There are no restrictions on the country of origin of the cars that will be driven.
FIA GT Championship // Manufacturer Series
The Manufacturer Series is a championship where a player signs a driver affiliation contract with their favourite manufacturer, in a competition for victory between different makes. The cars driven will be loaned from the contracted manufacturer.

1World Final

For the two Championships, there will be a "World Final" where the top players of the world will be determined for each competition.
The "World Final" will be a Live Event (scheduled for November.)

2Nations Cup Regional Finals

For the Nations Cup, there will be a "Regional Final" held in each Region to determine the leaders of each one of them.
All "Regional Finals" will be Live Events held in each Region.

3Gran Turismo World Tours

We will be hosting exhibition matches inviting top players from the Online Series to the "Gran Turismo World Tours".

52018 CHAMPIONSHIPS STRUCTURE

Nations Cup Structure

In the Nations Cup, the top 30 players from the Online Final Season's leaderboard will be given an opportunity to advance to the "Nations Cup Regional Finals". However, there will be a limit to the number of players from a single country (or locale), as shown below:

EMEA Region:
Up to 3 players from the same country (or locale)
Asia/Oceania Region:
Up to 10 players from the same country (or locale)
Americas Region:
Up to 10 players from the same country (or locale)
(If by the end of a Season there are still free spots due to players withdrawing or not qualifying, the next players in the ranking may be invited.
When we invite these additional players as replacement, the above limitations related to participants from the same country or locale will not apply.
If two or more players have equal amount of points at the end of a Season, the ranking will be determined following these criteria:
a) the highest Driver Rating;
b) the highest Sportsmanship Rating;
c) the earliest "Gran Turismo Sport" have been played, according to the PSN Online ID's record.)

The selection of the backup participant will not be affected by the above limitations. The top 10 players of the "Nations Cup Regional Finals" can advance to the next stage, for a total of 30 players at the "World Final" event (3 Regions x 10 players.)

The winner of the "Nations Cup World Final" will be crowned "Nations Cup Champion" at the FIA Prize-Giving Gala in December.

Manufacturer Series Structure

For the Manufacturer Series, the results of the Online Final Season will produce a global manufacturer ranking, from which the top 16 manufacturers will be selected to advance to the "World Final". The top players in each Region for each of these 16 manufacturers can participate in the "World Final" event (3 players total from 3 regions.)

The global manufacturer ranking will be created following these rules:

For each Region of the Online Final Season, the points earned by players at the top of each manufacturer leaderboard will count towards that manufacturer's total score.

Based on these points, there will be a manufacturer ranking for each Region.

Points will be distributed amongst each manufacturer based on their position in the ranking, according to the table below.

The points awarded to each manufacturer in the 3 Regions will be tallied to determine the global manufacturer ranking.

(If two or more manufacturers have equal amount of points at the end of a Season, the ranking will be determined following these criteria:
a) the highest value of distributed points from all regions;
b) the highest number of affiliation contracts registered at the end of the Final Season.)

Points awarded for 1st: 45 pt / 2nd: 40 pt / 3rd: 35 pt / 4th: 31 pt / 5th: 27 pt ...

The top players for each of these 16 manufacturers can advance to the next stage, for a total of 48 players at the "World Final" event (3 players from all Regions x 16 manufacturers). The "Manufacturer Series World Final" will see teams of 3 drivers from the same manufacturer competing against each other.

The winners of the "Manufacturer Series World Final" will be crowned "Manufacturer Series Champions" at the FIA Prize-Giving Gala in December.

(If two or more players have equal amount of points at the end of a Season, the ranking will be determined following these criteria:
a) the highest Driver Rating;
b) the highest Sportsmanship Rating;
c) the earliest "Gran Turismo Sport" have been played, according to the PSN Online ID's record.)
