The "FIA Gran Turismo Championships" 2019 Series: Nations Cup, Stage 1
03/20/2019

From March 23, 2019 to April 27, 2019, Gran Turismo will host Stage 1 of the Nations Cup, kicking off the "FIA Gran Turismo Championships" 2019 Series.

[IMPORTANT]

The Nations Cup will be divided into four Stages, with each Stage comprised of 10 rounds (40 rounds total); therefore, Stage 1 will consist of Rounds 1 through 10.

Player rankings are based on the effective points system, which means that at the end of each stage, the final score will be tallied from the best score out of every four rounds within a stage (with half numbers rounded up).

For example, in Stage 1:
・At the end of Round 4, the player's best round will be tallied for the final score.
・At the end of Round 8, the player's best two rounds will be tallied for the final score.
・At the end of Round 10, the player's best three rounds will be tallied for the final score.

From Stage 2 onward, the total number of rounds increase, meaning that the number of rounds in which the effective points are tallied will also increase. So at the end of the series (after 40 rounds), the player's best 10 rounds will count towards his or her final score.

At the end of each stage, players will be selected for Star Player registration and considered for World Tour participation. Qualifying for "World Tour 2019 - Nürburgring," which takes place on June 22 and June 23, will be based on the results of the Nations Cup Stage 1.

And, as in previous championships, "Victory Bonuses" will be distributed in-game according to the results of each series (or stage).

Please see ‘FIA Certified Gran Turismo Championships 2019 Series Overview’ for further details on the points system and the Nations Cup.
