Toyota's Veteran Driver Didico__15 Holds Off the Rising Stars to Win the Online Series!

The "Gran Turismo World Series" 2023 Manufacturers Cup got underway on the 7th of June.

Round 1 took place on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya National Layout. McLaren's Dstinct_Darkrai took pole position and went on to win the race, securing 474 points in the process.

Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta—a highly technical track—was the setting for Round 2. Toyota's Didico__15 started in second place on the grid, but moved into the lead on the sixth lap. He held on to finish in first place, scoring 466 points for his efforts.

Round 3 took place on the Nürburgring Endurance track, widely recognized as one of the world's trickiest courses. The conditions changed frequently throughout the race, making for a tough encounter, but Subaru's PRiMA_Lamb emerged victorious in the end.

In Round 4, which took place on Sardegna Road Track B, AMG's RVT_BONELLI won with an impressive 468 points.

Round 5 took place on the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps's 24-hour layout. McLaren's Dstinct_Darkrai, who had won the first race of the series, notched up another victory, scoring 444 points in the process.

Watkins Glen Long Course was the setting for Round 6. The young American CalenJRoach, who had won the "Gran Turismo World Series" 2023 Nations Cup, claimed the victory for BMW, scoring 459 points.

The final round took place on the Interlagos Circuit, with all eyes on Toyota's Didico__15, BMW's CalenJRoach and AMG's RVT_BONELLI—the three drivers locked in a tussle for first place. CalenJRoach took pole position in qualifying, with Didico__15 second on the grid and RVT_BONELLI in third. The battle between the three was fierce from the get-go, with Didico__15 overtaking CalenJRoach on the fourth lap to move into the lead.

Didico__15 then managed to shake off the chasing pack to reach the checkered flag in first place, winning the race and securing 467 points. Having consistently scored 400 points throughout the series, it was only right that he should end the season victorious.

But will he be able to show the same speed in the World Series Showdown 2023 in Amsterdam...?
