About the World Series
Automotive racing dates back to 1894, when the first organized motor race was held in Paris, France. More than a century later, the Gran Turismo World Series was launched in 2018 as the Motorsport of the Future, an official competition created to find the world’s best Gran Turismo driver and carry the spirit of motorsport into the next 100 years.
The 2026 World Series will be contested across four Global Events, with top drivers from the Online Qualifiers joining seeded competitors in the fight for the championship.

Milan - May 23 (Sat)
- Round 2
Tokyo* - August 15 (Sat)
- Round 3
Singapore - October 3 (Sat)
- World Finals
Tokyo - December 5 and 6 (Sat/Sun)
*Held at the Polyphony Digital Tokyo Studio.
December 5, 2026 (Sat)
The Manufacturers Cup brings together 12 teams representing the top-ranked manufacturers from the Online Qualifiers, along with official partner teams, to compete for the championship. Each manufacturer fields three top drivers, one from each of the Europe/Middle East/Africa, Americas and Asia-Oceania regions. At the World Finals, all 12 teams—36 drivers in total—will battle for the Manufacturers Cup title.
December 6, 2026 (Sun)
The Nations Cup pits drivers against one another while representing their home country or territory. The field features 12 of the world’s top Gran Turismo drivers, including the highest-ranked qualifiers from each region and the top three drivers from the 2025 World Series standings. After rounds in Milan, Tokyo at Polyphony Digital’s Tokyo Studio and Singapore, the championship now heads to its final showdown.
WORLD FINALS - TOKYO DRIVERS
The two-day World Finals will be hosted by Sascha Böckle, a well-known Formula 1 and motorsports announcer in Japan, and Jules Hardy, a presenter and consultant for the BBC and BAFTA in the UK. Together, their English- and Japanese-language coverage will give the event a truly international feel, adding to the excitement as the 2026 champions are crowned in Tokyo.
