Manufacturers Cup

The Manufacturers Cup pits the top-ranked car makers from the Online Series against each other. Along with our manufacturer partners Toyota, Genesis, and Mazda, 12 teams will be contesting for the title.
A driver from each of the three regions (Europe/Middle East/Africa, Americas, and Asia-Oceania) will be selected, forming a three-man team.

Teams to Watch

Toyota: Anchored by one of the best drivers in Central & South America, a Nations Cup champion and the fastest rookie in Asia, Toyota will be hard to beat.

Nissan: Nissan has yet to claim any major title, but the outstanding level of its drivers this year makes for a team that should not be underestimated.

AMG: While the drivers may be older than those on some of the other teams, the AMG lineup features well-seasoned players with lots of experience. They should perform well.

BMW: A trio of fresh young drivers, but their lack of experience may prove to be a handicap.

Lamborghini: What the Lamborghini drivers lack in titles, they more than make up with their racing consistency. They could well be this season’s dark horse.

Showdown Race Structure

The Manufacturers Cup will take place on August 11, starting with Qualifying, a Top-6 Qualifier, and the Grand Final.

Qualifying

One driver elected from each team will run a 9-minute time trial on the same track and with the same regulations as the Top 6 Qualifier.

The top six drivers will advance to the Top 6 Qualifier, and drivers in 7th to 12th will start on the grid in their order of finish for the Grand Final.

Top 6 Qualifier Live Broadcast

The top six drivers from Qualifying will run a single-lap qualifier to determine the top six grid positions for the Grand Final.

Because it is only one lap, there will be no room for error. The drivers’ mental toughness will be tested to the maximum.

Grand Final Live Broadcast

This race will be a three-man team race with driver changes.

Driver changes will take place during a pit stop, when tire changes/and or refueling take place.
Each driver is required to run a minimum of eight laps, so keeping an eye on the changing weather conditions and having a flexible pit strategy will be vital.

The result of the Grand Final race will be the final result of the GTWS Showdown 2023 Manufacturers Cup.
