The Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is a high-performance concept car that blends Opel’s respect for motorsports tradition with its passion for futuristic technology.
It draws inspiration from Opel’s iconic Blitz logo and the name of its best-selling Corsa. Although a show car, it can be driven in Gran Turismo 7, where it enjoys a “phygital” existence, inhabiting a realm where reality and imagination meet.
The all-wheel-drive Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is powered by two 350 kW (469.4 HP) electric motors, one on each axle, for a combined output of 588 kW (788 HP) and 800 Nm (590.2 ft-lb) of torque. With a single-speed transmission, it accelerates from 0 to 62.1 mph in just two seconds and reaches a top speed of 198.8 mph.
Its muscular exterior is defined by sharp lines and intricate mechanical details. From the front or rear, its horizontal and vertical elements form the “Opel Compass,” a signature design theme of the brand. Exceptional aerodynamic performance is ensured by an active aero diffuser and spoiler, keeping the car balanced even at high speeds.
The interior offers a pure, refined race experience. A suspended lightweight driver’s seat with 6-point harnesses and a roll cage meets the highest safety standards. Onboard sensors alert the driver to surrounding traffic. Also, illuminated fabrics across the dashboard and doors provide blind-spot warnings.
