Goodwood Festival of Speed 2014 Day 2

The second day of Goodwood opened with the unveil of the "Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo". Its futuristic form and the high level of engineering it contains attracted many visitors, filling the Super Car Paddock with a wall of people.

After having confirmed the success of its unveil, Aston Martin's design director Mr. Marek Reichman and Mr. Yamauchi also experienced driving the "Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo" on a special setup of "Gran Turismo 6". While the incredible 800ps power of the V12 twin turbo is extreme, it was still fully under control thanks to Aston Martin's long history and technology, providing confidence for the driver.

Exiting the Aston Martin Booth, Mr. Yamauchi headed for the Nissan NISMO booth, where he exchanged thoughts regarding the "NISSAN CONCEPT 2020 Vision Gran Turismo" with Nissan's chief creative officer Mr. Shiro Nakamura. You could tell the level of interest for the car by the crowds constantly surrounding it. There were also long lines of people waiting to play on the Gran Turismo 6 sleds set up at the booth.

The Goodwood Festival grounds is like a daydream world for a car enthusiast. Walking down the paddock, legendary cars you've only seen in books and magazines are found within an arms reach, and gets your heart racing. A huge blast of sound prompts you to look up into the sky, where a group of British air force fighters zooms by overhead. The second day of Goodwood was also blessed with fine weather, and was a fantastic day for car lovers visiting the festival.
