3. Effective Points

The point rankings are based on an effective points system. The points from the top 5 rounds in results will be counted as your effective points to create the rankings. If multiple entries are made in the same round, the point results from the last race entered will count towards the points for that round.

If two or more competitors have an equal number of points at the end of the Online Qualifiers, the ranking will be determined following these criteria:
 a) the competitor with the highest individual points across all rounds; and
 b) if still tied, the competitor with the highest individual points in a single round; and
 c) if still tied, the competitor with the highest Driver Rating (DR); and
 d) if still tied, the competitor with the highest Sportsmanship Rating (SR); and
 e) if still tied, the competitor who started playing 'Gran Turismo 7' earlier, according to their account for PlayStation™Network's record.

Points Adjustment Update
For top-tier matchmaking in the GT1 League, an extra 100 points will now be awarded uniformly and added to the Points Ranking. These extra points will be applied from the ‘Gran Turismo World Series' 2026 Exhibition 1 – Manufacturers Cup, starting on Saturday, 25 April.

Further points adjustments will also be introduced in future exhibition competitions.
