NATIONS CUP
Australia's Nik_Makozi Dominates Stage 4!
2019 Series Nations Cup - Stage 4 (Oceania Region)
09/09/2019

The final stage of the Nations Cup got underway on August 3rd. Just like Stage 3, it promised to be a showdown between Australia's Nik_Makozi, who went into the stage with a formidable lead at the top of the table, and his compatriot Adam_2167.

The stage's final race took place on the Autodrome Lago Maggiore - GP circuit. It was a one-make race, featuring the X2019 Competition car that is also used in the World Tour. The qualifying period proved to be full of drama, as Nik_Makozi struggled badly and could only secure eighth place on the grid. Adam_2167 took pole position, and started the race well, quickly building up a lead over the chasing pack. Nik_Makozi had a lot of ground to make up from eighth place, but he had already driven the X2019 Competition car in the World Tour, and was able to use this experience to move up to third in short order.
There was no question of him catching Adam_2167, however. The race leader was never troubled, and recorded a hugely impressive pole-to-win victory, closing the gap on series winner Nik_Makozi to 187 points. Nik_Makozi was therefore able to successfully defend his title, but with a number of drivers both new and old more determined than ever to take his crown next time around, the Oceania region looks set to be the scene of some very feisty conflicts.
