2018 Series Overview

2018 Series Highlights

1An Online Series that will keep you excited until the very end

The 2018 Online Series started in May with a Pre-Season, and will continue with Season 1 and 2 in June and July, and then conclude in August and September with the Final Season. Each Season will host a series of 'Top 24 Superstars' races which only the top players can participate in, so you can expect matches that will keep on the edge of your seat until the very end!

2The birth of the 'Star Players'

Players who have performed extraordinary well during Season 1 and/or 2 will have the option to obtain 'Star Player' status by registering their profile details. The 'Star Players' are identified by an 'S' Driver Rating, opening the path to the 'Top 24 Superstars' races and the Live Events described below. With the introduction of the 'Star Player' system, the current Driver Rating 'S' will be changed to 'A+'.

3The battle at the top, the 'Top 24 Superstars'

During an Online Series season, certain rounds will have a 'Top 24 Superstars' race that only Star Players will be able to compete in. In these races, top players will be awarded bonus points, and it will even be possible to earn more points than a standard race.

4Root for your team!

When the one-month season ends and the winning country and manufacturer is determined, other players belonging to the same country or manufacturer as the winners will also receive a 'Victory Bonus'. Root for your top teammates!

5Watch how the season progresses through the Live Reports

The progress of each season can be followed through the Live Reports published on 'Gran Turismo Sport' or on 'gran-turismo.com'. Keep up with the race reports and videos from the hottest moments in the season!

6More details on the Championship will be announced at the Nürburgring
