Road to Dubai ends in silverware for GT Academy
The Nissan PlayStation® GT Academy again demonstrated the strength and depth of its driver discovery and development programme in January when the four newest graduates took their prize drive at the Dubai 24 Hours.
After just 12 weeks of intense driver training, European winner Wolfgang Reip, German Peter Pyzera, Russia’s Mark Shulzhitskiy and North America winner Steve Doherty competed in their first international race alongside their more experienced team mates.
The No.127 Nissan 370Z Nismo GT4 race car was driven by Wolfgang Reip and Mark Shulzhitskiy, with their pro team-mates Lucas Ordoñez and Roman Rusinov. Peter Pyzera and Steve Doherty were joined in the No. 147 car by Alex Buncombe and Sabine Schmitz.
