The Making of the FIA GT Championship Trophy

The 'FIA-certified Gran Turismo Championships' concluded its inaugural Series at the end of 2018. The trophy awarded at the World Finals to the winners is a recreation of the sculpture 'Unique Forms of Continuity in Space' by Italian sculptor Umberto Boccioni.

The 'Making of the Trophy for the Gran Turismo Sport World Final' is a video directed by Kazumasa Saegusa (Director of the Tokyo University of the Arts Geidai Factory Lab), featuring behind the scenes footage of the production process by which the trophy was created.

Starting from the scanning of the bronze statue at the TATE Modern museum in the UK, the video documents every step of the 2 years that it took to complete the project: viewers can witness the creation of the mould, the casting and up to its completion.

We hope you will enjoy watching the recreation of this iconic piece of the Futurism movement!
