Gran Turismo for PSP Brings Home Awards From E3 Debut
Gran Turismo for the PSP system had a stellar showing after an exciting debut at Sony Computer Entertainment’s E3 press conference, with Gran Turismo creator and producer Kazunori Yamauchi introducing the handheld game live on-stage.
After all was said and done, Gran Turismo drove home with a host of awards and honors from E3.
Awards Received:
GameSpot – Editor’s Choice Best PSP Game
GameTrailers – Best PSP Game
IGN – Best PSP Racing and Best PSP Multiplayer Experience
Gran Turismo also ended up with a host of nominations, including nominations for PSP Game of the Show and Best PSP Graphics Technology from IGN, a best handheld game nomination from G4, Best PSP Game and Best Racing Game nominations from 1UP, a Best PSP Game nomination from GameSpy, and a best Handheld Game nomination from the Game Critics Awards. Game Critics Award winners will be announced on June 23.
Congratulations to Kazunori Yamauchi and the hard-working development team, Polyphony Digital. Watch for Gran Turismo coming to stores this October 1.
