GT by Citroen Officially Unveiled at Paris Motor Show

On October 2 at the Paris Motor Show, French auto manufacturer Citroën officially unveiled a new concept car called GT by Citroen, the result of a collaboration with Gran Turismo. Gran Turismo series creator and producer Kazunori Yamauchi was on hand to help unveil this latest creation to the world. GT by Citroën is Citroën's vision of the 21st century sports car come to life and features unique avant-garde styling. The sleek curves of the front and rear fenders are like plates of a high-tech suit of armor, and the view of the front of the car of the fierce, piercing gaze of a helmet of an ancient samurai warlord. The man behind the design of this concept car, Takumi Yamamoto, has shared a long friendship with the Gran Turismo creator and series producer Kazunori Yamauchi. With his stunning design, he has successfully weaved together Citroën's history of risk-taking and revolutionary design with the rich history and cutting-edge culture of Japan.

As part of the unveiling, a digital version of the GT by Citroën, as recreated by Polyphony Digital, Gran Turismo makers, was featured in a special video that is now viewable in Gran Turismo TV within Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Additionally, GT by Citroen is one of three new cars added to Gran Turismo 5 Prologue's vehicle roster via an online update as of October 2, giving Gran Turismo fans around the world the opportunity to drive this cutting edge concept car in the game.
