Gran Turismo Champion Igor Fraga to Compete for Anest Iwata Racing in the 2023 SUPER GT Series!

The new Anest Iwata Racing with Arnage race team, which will compete in the GT300 class of the Super GT Series for the 2023 season, has named 2018 Gran Turismo World Series champion Igor Omura Fraga as the team's first driver. Anest Iwata will field the No. 50 Lexus RC F GT3 race car in the popular series. Fraga will be joined by Japanese race drivers, Yuga Furutani and Miki Koyama.

This announcement means that Fraga will once again shine in both the real and online racing worlds. His resume in real-life racing is quite impressive. In 2017, he won the F3 Brazilian Championship in his home country. In 2019, he competed in the Formula Regional European Championship, where he won four races and finished 3rd in the driver standings, and the following year, he claimed the Toyota Racing Series championship.

A passionate Gran Turismo player since childhood, Fraga showed off his skills in virtual motorsports by winning the inaugural FIA Gran Turismo Championships Nations Cup in 2018, and leading Toyota to the Manufacturers Series title in 2019 and 2020.

Polyphony Digital, the developer of the Gran Turismo series, is a partner of ANEST IWATA Racing and will design the livery for the team’s car.

Keep an eye out for the ANEST IWATA Racing Lexus RC F GT3 when it takes to the track in the GT300 class later this year.
