Gran Turismo World Series Showdown 2022 to be Held on 30 - 31 July. Event to be Streamed Live from Salzburg, Austria!


Gran Turismo World Series Showdown will be held at the spectacular Red Bull Hangar-7 in Salzburg, Austria on 30 and 31 July. All races will be streamed live from the venue on the official ‘Gran Turismo TV’ YouTube channel and ‘Gran Turismo LIVE’.

The World Series Showdown is a global live event that marks the exciting midway point of the 2022 Gran Turismo World Series and will pit the 2021 World Finalists against the very best drivers from the 2022 Online Series - Season 1 for a place at World Series Round 2 and 3.

Don’t miss what is sure to be a weekend full of exciting racing action as the top drivers reunite for the first live GT event in over two years!

・Manufacturers Cup (Live Stream: Saturday, July 30 at 7pm UTC / 9pm CEST / 12pm PDT)
The Manufacturers Cup is a championship where drivers represent their favourite automobile manufacturers. A total of 12 manufacturers will be competing in the World Series Showdown, including official partners Toyota, Genesis, and Mazda and other top teams from the Global Manufacturer Rankings.

Drivers for each manufacturer are selected based on the World Series Points Rankings for Season 1 of the Online Series in teams of three. Forming a cohesive team will be vital as drivers transfer from an online to a live event environment.

Can Team Subaru continue their good start in Round 1 with another win in the all-new BRZ GT300 ’21, or will another manufacturer come out on top?


・Nations Cup (Live Stream: Sunday, July 31 at 7pm UTC / 9pm CEST / 12pm PDT)
The Nations Cup is a competition where drivers compete for their country or territory.
A total of 32 drivers will be competing in this World Series Showdown race. Making up the roster are 16 finalists from the 2021 World Final Nations Cup and the 16 best-ranked drivers from the top league in each region of the Online Series.

After his success in Round 1 beating fellow countryman Igor Fraga to the chequered flag, Lucas Bonnelli will be the man all the drivers are aiming to beat. Will Valerio Gallo be the one to do it? Don’t miss what’s sure to be an intense race as the fastest drivers from around the world collide in Salzburg!

Predict the Winners, a contest in which you can earn up to 2M in-game credits for correctly guessing the Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup winners, returns from Round 1.
