The GTWS 2023 is an international championship open to anyone who has a copy of Gran Turismo 7. The Series encompasses two championships, the 'Nations Cup' in which drivers compete as a representative of their country (or territory), and the 'Manufacturers Cup,' in which drivers race under contract of their favourite manufacturer.

Seven online rounds and two live events will decide the Champion

There are a few major changes to the championship format for GTWS 2023. Both the Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup will be held across a 7-round Online Series, with the highest ranking players going through to the 'World Series Showdown 2023' in August, and 'World Finals 2023' in December where the 2023 Series champions will be decided.

As usual, the live events will be broadcast online, complete with full commentary on the hottest battles between the world's greatest drivers.

■ The new team-based Nations Cup

The first round of the Nations Cup Online Series will be held on 13 May. As in previous Online Series, players will compete for their own individual points, however in the live events like the World Series Showdown, the top three ranked players of the highest League in each country (or territory) will compete as a 3-person team.

In this year's Nations Cup you can look forward to seeing a richer representation of each country (or territory). Be sure to tune in to find out what happens when veteran drivers like last year's World Finals Winner Coque López (Spain) team up with promising rookie drivers.

■ Will it be a second win running for Subaru? Chaotic battles in the Manufacturers Cup

The Manufacturers Cup begins on 7 June, approximately a month after the Nations Cup. After the seven rounds of the Online Series, 12 manufacturers consisting of the top teams in the Global Manufacturer Rankings and our manufacturer partners Toyota, Genesis, and Mazda will go through to the World Series Showdown and World Finals.

With an epic victory in the 2022 Series, Subaru secured their second championship win. As the defending champions look to create a winning streak, which manufacturer will be the one to stand in their way? Look forward to seeing another roller-coaster year in the Manufacturers Cup.
