About the World Series
The history of automotive racing began in 1894 in Paris, France. Looking to sustain it for another 100 years, the Gran Turismo World Series began in 2018 as the 'motorsport of the future', an official tournament to find the world’s best Gran Turismo driver.
The 2025 World Series is planned to be held across four Live Events where the best drivers selected from the Online Qualifiers along with seeded drivers will compete for the championship title. The Series visits three of the world’s most famous cities - starting with London, England in June, going on to Berlin, Germany in September, and Los Angeles, United States in November - before reaching the grand finale, the 'World Finals' in Fukuoka, Japan where the 2025 champions will be decided.

This championship consists of the top ranked manufacturers from the Online Qualifiers along with Official Partners Toyota and Mazda, for a total of 12 teams. A team of three representative drivers will be selected for each manufacturer made up of the top driver from each of the Europe/Middle East/Africa, Americas, and Asia-Oceania Regions in the Online Qualifiers. These regional drivers will unite to form a three-driver team. At the World Finals, these 12 teams - 36 drivers in total - will compete for the title of Manufacturers Cup Champions.
Sunday 21 December 2025
The Nations Cup is a competition in which drivers represent their home country or territory. The competition brings together the very best 12 drivers, combining the highest qualifying drivers from each Region's Online Qualifiers and the top three-ranked drivers from last year's World Series Points Ranking, entering as seeds. After intense battles in London, Berlin, and Los Angeles, they will aim to win the coveted Nations Cup title in Fukuoka.
