Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Polyphony Digital Inc today released the first taste of Gran Turismo®5 on PlayStation®Network in an all-new Time Trial which signals the start of the 2010 GT Academy season.

The race is on to find the best racers of the year. Following the trail blazed by last year’s inaugural GT Academy, GT fans and newcomers alike are invited to test their skills against the rest in the playable single track Time Trial, racing the Nissan 370Z around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course . Those with the best combined times will be invited to take part in a Europe-wide competition which will see the best racers taken to Silverstone racetrack in the UK where they’ll get behind the wheel of a Nissan 370Z for real as part of 2010’s GT Academy.
