Gran Turismo 7 will receive a major update, 'Spec IV' - Part 1, on 15 October 2026.

The following is a list of contents included with Update 1.72:

1. A new cinematic intro will be added.

The opening cinematic that plays when starting up the game will be updated.

2. Six new cars, from a classic French people's car to a new Gr.3 model, will be added.

In the 'Spec IV' - Part 1 update, 6 new cars will be added from various genres including a masterpiece French economy car, an iconic 90s Italian sports car, an unrivalled racing car that swept the Japanese racing scene in '87, and a brand new brushed up evolution model of a Gr.3 car. We hope you look forward to adding these to your collection.

3. A new track, 'SUGO International Racing Course', will be added.

The following new track will be added.

SUGO International Racing Course

(Length: 3,586m / Elevation Change: 69.83m / No. of Corners: 13 / Longest Straight: 704.5m)

This technical circuit is located in the Miyagi prefecture, in the north-west of Japan. Known for its three dimensional layout which makes use of the hilly terrain, the most famous such section is the final corner leading into the home straight where SUGO presents drivers with a maximum gradient of 10%. After the over 700m long straight, the course goes through a variety of different corners, curling around the right-handers of turns 1 and 2, before going on to S-bends, hairpins, and multi-apex curves. This track combines the thrill of high-speed sections and the tactical challenge of technical sections.

4. New features for viewing older cars from each brand and submitting purchase orders will be added.

Vintage

The Vintage section is a new addition to brands in Brand Central for cars from the year 2000 and earlier. From the Vintage section, players can then jump directly to the Legend Car and Used Car dealerships to purchase these cars.

Car Concierge

Additionally, players who have reached the ending will be able to use the new 'Car Concierge' feature to order vehicles from within the Vintage section. Just specify the model, colour, and condition and the concierge will search for the car on the player’s behalf. It’s a new way for players to expand their car collection. Depending on their Collector Level, players will be able to place up to four orders simultaneously.

5. A new 'Experience' feature to enjoy new brand-based driving experiences will be added.

'Experience' has been added to Brand Central, where players can take on challenges that represent the style of each brand and set new records. In Part 1 of the 'Spec IV' update, Experience will be available for Xiaomi, Yangwang, Hyundai, and Polestar.

6. A new 'Car Viewer' feature to view your current car from new angles will be added.

'Car Viewer' is a new feature in the Garage that lets players view their current car from any number of angles. The scenery can be changed from 'Change Background' and a number of settings on the car can also be adjusted, like moving the steered wheels and turning the lights on and off. This mode also allows for easy photography.

7. The Collector Level cap will be raised to 90.

The Collector Level cap will be raised from 70 to 90.

8. Three 'Extra Menus' will be added to the Café.

Three Extra Menus will be added to the 'Extra Menus' section of the Café.

10. Two new featured Curations will be added to Scapes.
