[Global Manufacturer Ranking] Manufacturer Series 2021 - Season 2 Results
01/10/2021

On Saturday, 25 September, the Manufacturer Series - Season 2 of the 'FIA Gran Turismo Championships' 2021 Series drew to a close.

The ‘Global Manufacturer Ranking’ for Gran Turismo Sport was determined based on the point rankings of each Region after the results of the final Round of the 2021 Series - Season 2.

The top 12 manufacturers from these final results will advance to the World Finals.

As Subaru and Hyundai both ended on 7th place with the same amount of points, the following selection criterion from the FIA GT Championships rules was applied:

"If two or more manufacturers have an equal number of points in the 'Global Manufacturer Ranking', the selection will be determined following these criteria:
  a) the manufacturer with the highest Manufacturer Ranking Points across all three Regions and all Rounds;"

After applying the above rule, Subaru ended with a total of 546 points while Hyundai's total was 517, therefore Subaru is placed 7th and Hyundai 8th.
