Car Description

On May 30, 1916, Peugeot won the legendary “Indianapolis 500 Mile Race” with its L45 race car. One hundred years later, we pay homage to that achievement by bringing you the Peugeot L500R HYbrid Vision Gran Turismo. To celebrate the release of Gran Turismo Sport, Peugeot has decided to develop the L500R even more, creating the L750R HYbrid, a competition model with even more performance.
What mainly separates the L750R from the L500R is its power unit. By raising the rev limit of the turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-4 to 10,000 rpm, output has been increased to 580 horsepower. And when you combine that with the 170 horsepower coming from the electric motors, you get a total output of 750 horsepower.
The L750R basically wears the same body as the L500R, but with improved aerodynamics. A large splitter has been added to the front, and the airflow of the underfloor has been further optimized. A rear wing has also been added to increase downforce. The L750R weighs 386 lbs less than its stablemate, tipping the scales at 1,819 lbs. This has improved the car’s 0-100 km/h acceleration by 0.1 second, to 2.4 seconds.
Peugeot took the incredible L500R race car and refined it even further to create a truly remarkable machine that conveys the company’s passion and spirit for competition.
