Reigning champion Tanner Foust, one of the hottest drift and rally racers around, competed in the Rally Super Special at X Games 14, held August 1-3 in Carson, California. The racing was intense and Tanner, along with co-driver Chrissie Beavis, took home the silver medal in their Rockstar Energy Drink 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI rally car on the grueling stadium course.

The PlayStation Experience truck was on hand where fans competed in “Play with the Pros” with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for a chance to go head to head with Tanner, now co-sponsored by Gran Turismo. The players with top five lap times made it to the finals to face off against Tanner. With family, friends, and eager fans watching intently, each challenger put up a good fight as they tried to keep up with the pro race driver. Tanner, who has been playing Gran Turismo for years and even uses the game to learn the intricacies of the tracks, easily won each of the five races, even while giving play-by-plays of the action and sharing driving tips with his opponents mid-race.
