GT6 “Goodwood Hillclimb” course Updated to Coincide with the New "Goodwood Festival of Speed" Central Feature Unveiling Ceremony

On June 26th at 22:00 (local time), a new Central Feature for the "Goodwood Festival of Speed" was revealed. The "Festival of Speed" is a motorsports festival held in West Sussex, UK, where the Central Feature structure was revealed by this year's host manufacturer Mercedes-Benz.

In conjunction with this event, the Goodwood Hill Climb course included in the PlayStation®3 exclusive title “Gran Turismo 6” was updated at the same time. Gran Turismo 6 players all over the world can now drive the course with the new central feature within the game. (please note that in order to update the course, a PlayStation®3 system and network connection are required).

The unveiling ceremony at Goodwood was conducted by Lord Charles March, the Festival host, and Michael Bock (Director, Mercedes-Benz Classic) with Gran Turismo series Producer Kazunori Yamauchi also in attendance.

This year, Kazunori Yamauchi will be participating in the Festival of Speed driving a Mercedes Benz 300 SLS. This iconic car from the 1950’s is one of two 300SL roadsters that were specially modified to compete in the National Sportscar Championships of the "Sports Car Club of America".

A full scale model of the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo was also displayed at the festival, marking the collaboration between the old and new Mercedes-Benz, Goodwood, and Gran Turismo.
