Profile

Hailing from Villers-la-Montague in Northern France, Jordan Tresson is fast establishing himself as one of the quickest GT drivers in the world. In only his second full season of international racing, Tresson has achieved some impressive results, including one championship, several wins and many podium finishes, serving as yet another example of how effective the GT Academy program has become.

Tresson competed in the GT Academy trials the year previous to his win, but failed to make the Top 5 in his native France, which kept him from going to the finals in Silverstone. Like his predecessor Lucas Ordoñez, Tresson was in the midst of studying for his master’s degree when he put his academics on hold to pursue his dream of becoming a professional race driver. He returned the following year on a mission, making it to the finals and then battling Italian competitor Luca Lorenzini to the bitter end to claim the 2010 GT Academy title from out of 1.2 million gamers who participated in the online trials. Since then, the young Frenchman has never looked back; he has added some remarkable accolades to his resume, with two podiums and a Fourth Place finish in the highly competitive GT4 Cup right after completing the Drivers Development Program.

In 2011, Tresson returned to GT4, this time contesting in the Blancpain Endurance Series. He ended up clinching the GT4 class championship at the final round in Silverstone, a race track that he was very familiar with, thanks to the GT Academy. In 2012, Tresson continued his amazing run, competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He had dreamed of competing in this historic race ever since he was rooting on Ayrton Senna as a child and, for a young French boy, Le Mans was the ultimate racing stage. Tresson raced the Signatech Nissan LMP2 car, ultimately finishing in Ninth Place. He also raced in the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship, finishing in Second Place.
