Current customer devices and connections

SolutionB-1 :
Remove the broadband router, and connect the PLAYSTATION®3 directly to the broadband modem/Optical Network Unit (ONU).

In this case, there will be a better chance of improving your online race experience in “Gran Turismo 5 Prologue”, if you remove the broadband router, and connect the PLAYSTATION®3 directly to the broadband modem/ONU.

When connecting the PLAYSTATION®3 directly to the broadband modem/ONU as indicated above, it will be necessary to perform PPPoE settings for the PLAYSTATION®3 to connect to the broadband modem/ONU.

For PPPoE settings using the PLAYSTATION®3, please refer to the following page.

PLAYSTATION®3 Online Manual - Network Settings

* If you are unsure of the required entries for PPPoE settings, please contact your internet service provider.

* When this setting is performed, it will become impossible to connect to the internet with other devices that shared the internet connection with the PLAYSTATION®3. When using the internet from other devices, please change the connections and device settings after you are finished playing the game.

SolutionB-2 :
Perform “port forwarding” settings for the broadband router

When you need to use the internet simultaneously from devices (PC, etc.) other than the PLAYSTATION®3, it is not possible to remove the broadband router as described in solution B-1 above.

In order to enjoy the online race events of “Gran Turismo 5 Prologue” while using a broadband router, it may be necessary to perform “Port Forwarding” settings for your broadband router.

Regarding “Port Forwarding”, please refer to the following page.
