Set the Modem/Optical Network Unit (ONU) with built in router to “PPPoE Bridge Mode”, and connect only the ”PLAYSTATION®3”.
A Modem/ONU with a built in router is normally set to a “Router Mode” by default.
If a broadband modem/ONU with a built in router is set to “Router Mode”, and you are experiencing problems in the online racing of “Gran Turismo 5 Prologue”, there is a possibility that if you change the modem/ONU w/router setting to “PPPoE bridge mode” and connect only the PLAYSTATION®3 to the modem, your game experience may improve.

For how to change modes for your broadband modem/ONU w/built in router, please refer to the instruction manual of the device, or contact its manufacturer.
Also, when using a modem/ONU w/ built in router in “PPPoE bridge mode”, after connecting to the PLAYSTATION®3, it will be necessary to perform PPPoE settings in the PLAYSTATION®3 for the broadband modem/ONU w/ built in router.

* If you are unsure of the required entries for PPPoE settings, please contact your internet service provider.
* When this setting is performed, it will become impossible to connect to the internet with other devices that shared the internet connection with the PLAYSTATION®3. When using the internet from other devices, please change the connections and device settings after you are finished playing the game.

Set the broadband modem/ONU w/built in router to “router mode” and set “Port Forwarding” settings.
If you wish to use the internet through other devices (PC, etc.) in addition to the PLAYSTATION®3, you cannot change the broadband modem/ONU w/built in router to “bridge mode” as described in A-1 above.
In order to enjoy the online race events in “Gran Turismo 5 Prologue with the broadband modem/ONU set to “router mode”, it may be necessary to make “Port Forwarding” settings for the broadband modem/ONU w/built in router.
