Details

1Online Series

These races will make up the core of the championships. Anyone can participate in the Online Series from within the 'Sport' mode of GT Sport.

Nations Cup Online Series

The Nations Cup Online Series will be held as a 6-month-long competition from April to September.

The Series will be divided into two Seasons, each made up of 10 Rounds (where 1 Round includes a Qualifying and a Final Race) for a total of 20 Rounds.

By participating in an online race, competitors will be awarded points based on their race performance. These points will determine competitors' positions in the rankings, which will be updated at the end of every Round.

The driver selections for the World Series and World Finals will be made based on the results of the point rankings at the end of each Season.

The overall ranking is based on an effective points system: at the end of each Season, the final score will be tallied from the best 1/3 Rounds out of the total for that Season (with half numbers rounded up).

For example: after 10 Rounds the best 4 Rounds will be tallied for the final score (10/3=3.333..., rounded up.)
Points at the end of Season 1 will not be carried over into Season 2.

Global Manufacturer Rankings

The Global Manufacturer Rankings is used to determine the manufacturers that will be entering the World Series and the World Finals.

The Global Manufacturer Rankings are determined at the end of each Season.

The ranking is based on an effective points system: at the end of each Season, the final score will be tallied from the best 1/3 Rounds out of the total for that Season (with half numbers rounded up).

For example: after 10 Rounds the best 4 Rounds will be tallied for the final score (10/3=3.333..., rounded up.)
At the end of Season 1, points will not be carried over into Season 2.

The Global Manufacturer Rankings will be created as described below.

1) A 'Manufacturer Ranking' will be created for each Region:
- At the end of each Round, the position of a manufacturer in the 'Manufacturer Ranking' will be determined by the points acquired by its affiliated top driver (the driver who holds the highest score for that manufacturer in that Round).
- At the end of each Round, 'Manufacturer Ranking Points' will be assigned to each of the 25 manufacturers based on their position in the above-mentioned 'Manufacturer Ranking', as follows:
Points Distribution Table
1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th 10th 11th 12th 13th 14th 15th
40 pts 36 pts 33 pts 30 pts 27 pts 24 pts 22 pts 20 pts 18 pts 16 pts 15 pts 14 pts 13 pts 12 pts 11 pts
16th 17th 18th 19th 20th 21st 22nd 23rd 24th 25th
10 pts 9 pts 8 pts 7 pts 6 pts 5 pts 4 pts 3 pts 2 pts 1 pt
1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th
40 pts 36 pts 33 pts 30 pts 27 pts 24 pts
7th 8th 9th 10th 11th 12th
22 pts 20 pts 18 pts 16 pts 15 pts 14 pts
13th 14th 15th 16th 17th 18th

7 pts 6 pts 5 pts 4 pts 3 pts 2 pts
25th
1 pt
If two or more of the top ranking drivers from different manufacturers are tied on individual points, then the Manufacturer Ranking Points assigned to their respective manufacturers will be divided and assigned equally.

For example: Player A (Toyota) and Player B (Mercedes-Benz) both have an individual score of 230 points. If both manufacturers are tied for 3rd in their Region, the points awarded for 3rd and 4th place will be added together with each team receiving half of the total (33+30=63/2=31.5 pts.)
2) A 'Global Manufacturer Ranking' will be created:
-For each manufacturer, Manufacturer Ranking Points from all three Regions will be tallied to determine their 'Global Manufacturer Ranking'.
If two or more manufacturers have an equal number of points in the 'Global Manufacturer Ranking', the selection will be determined following these criteria:
a) the manufacturer with the highest Manufacturer Ranking Points across all three Regions and all Rounds; and
b) if still tied, the manufacturer with the highest individual points of their top ranking drivers from all three Regions; and
c) if still tied, the manufacturer with the highest individual points of their top ranking drivers from all three Regions and all Rounds.
